Feelings Are Information Poster

Use this poster as an open invitation, not a feelings chart. Ask a child to point to the kid who looks most like how they feel today, then let them tell you what that feeling is. There are no right answers. One child might see “worried” where another sees “surprised,” and both are true for them. Follow up with: “What’s that feeling like for you?” “When do you feel like this?” “What might this feeling be trying to tell you?” Feelings are information, and the most important part is what each child’s feeling means to them.
